Our next video is ready to go! This one is dedicated to all the Class 4 teachers out there, and is available for purchase in our shop. If you have a class specific chalk-drawing you'd like us to do please leave a comment or send us an email. It makes the most sense to us to do the drawings that are most immediately useful to you!

This week’s Weekly Art lesson pulls together several skills we’ve been working on since Sept, PLUS a fun bonus for the grownups 😎 Can’t wait to see what everyone creates with it!!
#waldorfishweeklyart We've been talking about the Masai this week. Charcoal portraits were in order! I love how quiet the room gets when my students are *deeply* immersed in their artwork 🎨 Grateful for opportunities to get into meaningful conversations with them about the idea of "beauty", and how it is different in every culture. We also spent a while looking at how often the faces we consider the most "interesting" or "real" looking are the least symmetrical. Meaningful stuff for a group of middle school students who are becoming oh-so-aware of their (and others) appearance. ✨ (From an old post FB reminded me about this morning. Hard to believe 3 years have passed since i taught this Cultural Geography block!) #portrait #masai #africa #arteducation #artteacher #waldorf #waldorfish #curriculum #culturalgeography #charcoal #art When families use our art lessons together ❤️ Each piece perfect, based on age/developmental stage, and personal style. ✨ Thank you for sharing @winlowoaks !

The kids and I drew covered bridges for weekly art this week. This inspired me to find several bridges for us to go visit in Massachusetts this summer!
#waldorfishweeklyart Soul food for mamas of toddlers to teens 💗 This course is offered every May by my sister-mama’s @carrieannemoss and @iheartfeeleez . Take a peek if you’re looking for a new way to connect with your children✨ Wet-on-wet painting from a #waldorfishweeklyart lesson! Thank you for sharing @brooke_nancy ! It is a daily battle of wills to keep my IG feed from being taken over by images of our cats. Then @daniellecohenphotography shows up to help us with photos for our new courses, and this happens. I mean, how can i NOT? Sigh. Carry on everyone. This is such a beautiful example of how the same lesson will manifest across a spectrum of ages within the same family ❤️ Each one perfectly perfect. (ages 4,6,8,10 and two adults) Thank you for sharing @feeltheburnout ✨・・・
Results of a weekend family art lesson with chalk (or oil pastels for my kids who can’t stand the feeling of chalk!) We’re slowly catching up on our Waldorfish Weekly Art (this one is from October.)
#waldorfishweeklyart Henley is available, free of charge, for math project consultations.

Beautiful work from a #waldorfishweeklyart family ✨ Thank you for sharing @thehippyrichys ! ・・・
"Normality is a paved road; It's comfortable to walk, but no flowers grow on it." --Vincent Van Gogh
We did a ton of art this week! From our Waldorfish weekly art lessons to free drawing and creating our own coats of arms. We are kinda weird that way... if it's not arts and handcrafts, we're gettin dirty outside. The best. It really does feel like we’ve created something of value when our #waldorfishweeklyart families are able to take skills learned in a lesson and apply them to art work in other contexts. Success!! Thank you so much for sharing @jenny.lasslett ❤️ Hi. Waiting to pick up the teen from one Thing and then driving him to his next Thing. Was feeling grumpy, and then realized one alternative was for him to be old enough to drive HIMSELF, which made me 🤯. So now I’m inhaling & exhaling deeply while i continue waiting for him to appear. This stage of mothering = 🙃. Thank you for listening. Carry on. As we approach the end of our second year of Weekly Art (!) @brianwolfe and I have both realized that despite all the arting we’ve been doing, very little of it has been for ourselves. We’ve been talking a lot lately about changing that up... we’re even looking at classes locally that WE can take over the summer 😱(I want to dive into oil painting!!) In any case, Brian was busy creating for himself last night ✨ The second photo is of the underpainting, if that sort of thing interests you! 📷 inspiration from #peggyscove #novascotiaart More behind the scenes sneak peeks! Waldorf teacher @__amanda_zm has been busy creating her beautifully supportive G1 painting course. Yesterday I was listening to some of the original painting verses she’s writing ... I was blown away by how much life they bring to each painting!! This course will be available for purchase mid to late June. These lessons are being designed for parents to watch & learn from, before then teaching their children - our goal is for you to have several weeks before the school year starts to become familiar with the material! Stay tuned for more updates ✨ #waldorfishg1 Happy Sunday everyone! Take a minute to soak in some beautiful student work from our Weekly Art program ✨ Thank you for sharing @ahalfwayhomestead ・・・
I feel pretty lucky to have a constant stream of amazing art made by my 6yo to hang up on my walls ❤️👩🏻‍🎨 #waldorfishweeklyart
Well, my heart just melted ✨ Thank you for sharing @waldorfhomeschoolinspiration ・・・
"Mom, I didn't know that charcoal from the fire could be so beautiful."
@therobynwolfe thank you for another great lesson.
