WALDORF SCIENCE CURRICULUM
For homeschool & classroom educators!
Looking for a Waldorf-inspired, middle grades science curriculum?
“Thanks to your help, it was the most enjoyable subject of the year. I was so proud of myself for leading these experiments and the kids thoroughly enjoyed it!”
The Waldorf approach to science aims to cultivate a sense of wonder and reverence in children. By creating a series of learning experiences, children are given opportunities to observe natural phenomenon, and then find relationships and draw conclusions.

In this video, we talk with Waldorf teacher Ari Magruder about what a “phenomenon-based” science curriculum looks like in Waldorf education. This will help answer many questions, including “who are these courses for?” This video is about 18 minutes long – pour yourself a cuppa and settle in!
“In a phenomenological approach, one strives to give the students an experience of the phenomena and then have them wrestle with finding relationships or order.
This process actually cultivates the true powers and capacities necessary for thinking. Here thinking becomes an activity, a verb, something that is dynamic and living.”

Our program has been built in partnership with Waldorf teacher, Ari Magruder. Ari is currently the middle school science and math teacher at Sacramento Waldorf School. She also contributed to the teacher education and summer Art of Teaching programs at Rudolf Steiner College for many years.
“Purchasing your 6th grade physics course made all the difference. The videos showed me how easily I could perform the experiments and the sample main lesson pages helped me see the whole process. You turned this into an absolute joy for us!”
