Reviews

“Have just read From Here to Everywhere authored by Robyn Beaufoy. For children and adults alike this is ‘sweet’ in the best way, as a gentle exploration of loss. I think the book’s power is in how universal and simple the message is. That the loved one’s lost, are not perhaps ‘gone’ but we are able to see and feel them everywhere.

The artwork echoes the simplicity while conveying emotion and expression with a slight tweak of the line drawings and posture of the protagonists. Valuable contribution for parents and the youth they support in grief.”

From Here to Everywhere is a tender and beautiful book about loss. The storytelling and artwork beautifully convey hope, letting the reader know that though loved ones aren’t physically present, they are still with us. From Here to Everywhere is a gentle yet powerful reminder that our loved ones are always with us in our hearts.

From Here to Everywhere is a story infused with wisdom, heart, perspective, and hope during a time when confusion and sadness often override all other emotions. This book will soften the hard edges of grief and most importantly, inspire dialogue and connection. An important tool for anyone experiencing loss and its counterpart: healing.

Why I wrote From Here to Everywhere:

Between 2009-2011 I experienced the loss of 3 separate family friends, each taken too soon by terminal illness. My children were young at the time, aged 5 and 3 years old. While they were protected from the weight of these events by their age, they did have a few questions along the way, which I struggled to provide answers for. In the course of processing my own thoughts, this story was born - the first draft written, quite literally, on spare napkins I happened to have in my bag.

My hope is that this story will inspire and then support you, while you choose ways to celebrate the legacy of your own friends and loved ones.

With immense gratitude,
~Robyn

Robyn Beaufoy is a Canadian-born artist, educator, and parent (to both teens and cats.) She is a co-founder of Waldorfish.com, an online resource for educators and families interested in Rudolf Steiner’s Waldorf method of learning and human development.

She splits her time between the virtual world and the very tangible soil of her vegetable garden, toiling vigorously and finding joy and meaning in both endeavors. Thousands of followers have found a community of like-minded thinkers and doers in Waldorfish.

When not in the garden, Robyn can be found painting, baking, brewing kombucha, brainstorming with beloved collaborators, and feeding her (always hungry) children.
